Norfolk Park Green Homes

The new homes are built to the Environment Trust's greenest home specification.

The homes are designed to be a great place to live. It is built to Parker Morris Standards (spacious), with good views from every home, but also built for privacy and security.

Green features:
  • The walls and roof are super-insulated using mixture of recycled paper (Warmcel 500 -EVT Technology) and mineral wool (Rockwool) insulation.
  • Windows are argon-gas filled double glazing.
  • Materials used are as environment friendly as possible. All wood is from certified sustainable sources and there is a high proportion of timber in the construction. Where possible, recycled aggregate and re-used stone have been used.
  • The external spaces have a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) which captures excess rainwater to prevent flooding elsewhere by not adding to the existing drains.

The energy in our Green homes are supplied by 3 sources:

  1. Heat from residents (thanks to the insulation)
  2. Electric heating and lighting from the national grid (Green Energy as main supplier)
  3. Solar energy
  • solar thermal panels on roof top for boilers
  • Photovoltaic installation on Block A & B to supply power to communal areas as well as the 3 elektrobay for electric car charging

We hope you like them!
